Boxing champ Tyson Fury pictured with arm around drugs kingpin Daniel Kinahan in Dubai

TYSON FURY has been pictured with his arm draped around a smiling Daniel Kinahan in Dubai.

The world heavyweight champion boxer and the Irish drugs kingpin featured in an Instagram post by former pro fighter Zaid Khan.

Kinahan and Fury were seen together at TK MMA and Fitness gym.

Aside from Kinahan, none of the others have any links with criminality, while the Dubliner has been named as the head of one of Europe’s largest drug cartels in The High Court.

Kinahan co-founded MTK Global which now boasts an array of boxing stars in its roster, none bigger than Fury himself.

The Gypsy King has previously described Kinahan as being a key adviser in spite of him having supposedly stepped away from the promotion in 2017 and boxing as a whole in 2020.

In one infamous video, Fury thanked the mobster for getting his proposed super-fight with Anthony Joshua ‘over the line’ before that bout ultimately fell through.

In the 2020 video, he said: “I’m just after getting off the phone there with Daniel Kinahan.

“He’s just informed me that the biggest fight in British boxing history has just been agreed.

“Big shout out Dan, he got this done. Literally over the line. Two fight deal.”

Fury isn’t the only high-profile fighter to be pictured with Kinahan in recent months.

As well as other boxers such as Lee McGregor and Sunny Edwards, he was seen alongside MMA star Darren Till in December.

None of those three fighters have any links with criminality either.

Commenting on the snap, Till said: “Good stroll on the beach tonight in Dubai with one of me good pals.”

CLOSING IN

Earlier that month international agency InSight Crime named Kinahan as one of the leaders of a super cartel that smuggled 33 tons of cocaine worth a massive €6.9billion on the streets into the Netherlands in 2018 alone.

The gang has now been broken up by the US Drugs Enforcement Agency.

InSight Crime said: “At present, Kinahan is the last member of the consortium still at large.”

The other leaders of the cartel were allegedly Ridouan Taghi, Naoufal ‘Belly’ Fassih and Raffaele Imperiale.

Dutch-Moroccan Taghi, 43, is locked up in the Netherlands as he awaits trial for a series of murders there. He was booted out of Dubai in 2019 following his arrest over a false passport.

Kinahan narrowly escaped being arrested himself as part of the operation when he went to a hotel in Dubai to meet lawyers acting for Taghi.

Fassih, 37, is also in jail in the Netherlands — after he was convicted of ordering one murder and another attempted assassination.

Mafia don Imperiale, 48, was arrested in Dubai in 2021 — after six years on the run from authorities in Italy.

He is in custody in Dubai and is expected to be sent back to Italy to serve eight years for drugs offences.
