And the 41-year-old captioned the Instagram post with a lengthy emotional statement.

The former world champ revealed he has managed to tone down the booze and now favours runs and family time over lengthy sessions which left him “drunk all day everyday” while on holiday.

The Hitman captioned his jog with a lengthy motivational post online

He said: “Another run done. What a difference a few years make.

“I use to come to Tenerife & was drunk all day everyday. Now I do more runs than get drunk.

“See the kids and family practically everyday. Lost a bit of timber.

“I’m not getting carried away and saying I get it right all the time as I’m not exactly ready for pipe & slippers yet as they say but from where it was to where it is today is a massive change & improvement.

“The point I’m making is if your at a low point & think there’s no way back from where you are. Trust me there is and you can.

“Speaking to someone, making a conscious effort to put things right by doing something positive instead of your usual s***, depressing routine, especially at the start of the day to get things of to a good start.

“You can do it. Honest you can? @frankbrunofoundation #mentalhealth #depression #getupthereboy.”

Hatton lost only three of his 48 fights at light-welterweight and welterweight.

He hung up the gloves in 2012 after a glittering career in the ring.

Since retiring, Hatton has turned his hand to training other boxers and promoting as he keeps himself involved in the fight game.

He recently lauded Tyson Fury’s comeback from depression as the Gypsy King shed ten stone and turned his life around.

Hatton said boredom saw him lose weight in lockdown and the Brit has slammed veteran Mike Tyson’s controversial comeback as he fears it could end in “tragedy”.
