Chris Eubank Jr says he was robbed from a brutal beating by the referee
For the first time in his career he was dropped and stopped. Most fans are not keen on the June 17 rematch, so convincing was the original.
But Eubank Jr, whose father Chris had a legendary chin, has been stewing over the result.
He had the option of a June 3 showdown with Conor Benn after the original October bout was cancelled.
But the stink around Benn’s ongoing Ukad doping case meant that toxic Brit battle was shelved.
Returning slugger Eubank Jr, 33, said: “The thing I regret is not being given the chance to get through it — I wanted to continue and have the chance to overcome adversity.
“But I feel I was robbed of that challenge. We sign up to get hurt and the possibility of punishment.
“So it just didn’t sit well with me that I wasn’t given the opportunity to recover.
“If I was due a beating, great, that’s what I deserved, I would have accepted and enjoyed it.

“I am a grizzled veteran and know how much I can take and when I can’t go on.
“A lot of people paid to see me get my a**e kicked and then they never got that, they wanted to see me take even more shots.”
No-nonsense Smith, 34, said: “You don’t need to be a genius to see he is falling over all of his words.
“Lots of people said he could have been stopped from the first knockdown.
“He got credit and the chance to carry on based on his career, he went down and got up — but he couldn’t stand up the second time.
“I think he’s finished, he was terrified of getting hit. He was always game and seemed to fancy a fight, yet from the first clinch I knew he didn’t fancy.
“I am even more determined to beat him now — and I know I can hurt him to the head and body — this time I will make him say, ‘The best man won’.
Eubank Jr insisted he was genetically gifted with an unbreakable chin and had never been hurt.
Now, however, he is going into a must-win rematch in the knowledge that he may not have inherited quite as strong a chin as his dad.
He added: “I have a new desire. A new fire that maybe I didn’t have before because I didn’t fear him.
“I don’t fear him now but I know I can be hurt and buzzed — so I have to respect what is coming at me. It will be a lot more serious now.”

- Body movement
- Defense
- Combination
- Rotation
- Sparring
Punching Techniques
There are seven types: Left Hook (right hook), Right Hook (uppercut), Cross (cross), Straight, Overhand, Underhand. Each punch is different. Some punches require more strength than others. For example, an uppercut is a powerful punch. On the contrary, a straight punch takes less power but is faster than most punches.
There are also different combinations. These are combinations made up of several punches that can be used together to achieve one goal. A combination can contain multiple parts. For example, a left hook followed by a right cross will cause damage to the opponent’s jaw.
Guard Techniques
To defend himself from being attacked, a boxer uses his entire body. He does so by using his arms, elbows and hands as well as his knees, knees and legs.
Legs
A boxer must use his legs to defend against kicks. When he receives a kick, he raises his leg and moves away from the attacker. To avoid being kicked in the side, he bends down if the attacker attacks from the front. If the attack is from the side, he will bend his knees to avoid being kicked on the side.
Elbows
Elbow strikes are very effective because they inflict much pain. An elbow strike may be delivered directly or in an indirect manner. Directly means that your opponent is hit with your forearm. However, indirectly means that your elbow strike is delivered with another part or your arm.
Hands
Boxers use both their hands and arms to prevent incoming blows. To do this, they raise their fists higher than their heads and move their arms in the direction that the attack is coming. They then touch the attackers fist.
Knees
To absorb the impact of a punch to the stomach, abdomen, or chest, boxers should bend their knees. Knee strikes are often used for defense purposes.
Feet
When attacked, a boxer should step back and deliver counter-attacks. This allows him to put distance between himself, his opponent, and the ring. A boxer must also maintain his balance when responding to an opponent’s counter-attack.
Stances
To box effectively, a boxer must establish a stance. His stance will determine how he defends. It defines where he faces his opponent and how he positions his body. There are many stances available to boxers. Here are some of the more popular ones:
- Low stance
- High stance
- Southpaw stance
- Western stance
The Body Movement
A boxer must be able to move around his opponent in order to win a fight. This means changing your speed, position and rhythm.
Rotation
Boxers rotate their arms when they throw a punch. The rotation is done at different speeds depending on the type of punch.
Combinations
The effectiveness of a combination depends on the timing of each individual punch. A combination is good if it starts with a strong punch then ends with a weaker one.
Spare parts
Sparring is a training session that improves boxing skills. During sparring sessions, a boxer trains his mind as well as his body. The goal of sparring is to learn to fight, and not to get hurt.
It is important to be patient and dedicated when learning how to box. To become a better boxer, you must train hard and for a long time.
