When asked by celebrity news outlet TMZ if Chris and Will should box each other, Kenny replied: “No, they shouldn’t – but I should get in the ring with Will Smith.”

Kenny is also an actor and known for his role as Nick Bromnell in the 2018 sci-fi film Vesuvius.

When asked if Oscars chiefs had dealt with Smith fairly, he added: “We have to see if he’s actually going to get the ten-year ban.

“They might say a ten-year ban and after three years they’ll think we may have forgot about it and they’ll slide him in there after two years, three years, five years.”

Smith apologised to Rock on Instagram and said he had reacted “emotionally” to the joke about his wife’s shaved head, which is a result of the hair-loss condition, alopecia.

The celebrity, who shot to fame in the 1980s in sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, has starred in many high-profile films including Ali, a 2001 biographical movie about boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
