CONOR BENN takes on another seasoned veteran in Chris Algieri to end a fruitful 2021 in the welterweight division for The Destroyer.

Benn has already beaten Samuel Vargas and Adrian Granados this year, and will finish it by fighting longtime pro Algieri in Liverpool.

One of Matchroom’s hottest prospects, Benn is hoping to secure a world title shot within the next 12-18 months, so is doing everything he can to prepare for when that moment comes.

Algieri will be hoping to roll back the years with a statement performance but will be in there with a young, hungry lion in Britain’s potential next big star Benn.

Algieri added: “December 11 with be a masterclass with me utilising my deep bag of skills and experience.

“Benn is hungry and tough but this is a huge step up in class for him. I’m coming to show that it’s not his time yet. I still got the goods and the world will see it once again come fight night.”
