DANIEL DUBOIS is reportedly searching for a new opponent ahead of his August 29 outing after Erik Pfeifer pulled out of the bout.
The British heavyweight champion hasn’t fought since December when he blasted away Japan’s Kyotaro Fujimoto in the second round.
And he is now scrambling to find an opponent after two-time Olympiac Pfeifer withdrew from their contest later this month.

According to The Athletic’s Mike Coppinger, Pfeifer will not be involved in the scheduled clash that was due to take place at the BT Sport Studio.
He tweeted: “Heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois needs a new opponent for his Aug. 29 tune-up ahead of his scheduled fall clash with Joe Joyce.
“He was slated to fight Erik Pfeifer, who withdrew.”
It remains unclear as to why the 33-year-old German has pulled out of his bout against Dubois.
Dubois is keen to get some rounds in before his expected October 24 domestic dust-up against Joe Joyce.
And the 22-year-old has even stated he is ready to knock out Dillian Whyte should he beat Joyce.
But he must first find an opponent for next weekend, with fans taking to social media to say who they want him in with.
One tweeted: “Longshot but wouldn’t it be great to see someone like (Fabio) Wardley or (Martin) Bakole step in.”
Another commented: “Real shame would have been a good test. Wardley, Bakole or (Dave) Allen are the only 3 that could keep the card alive imo.”
A third added: “Otto Wallin would be a brilliant fight for Daniel I think, fresh off a win and he boxed Tyson, plus sparred a lot of very good HW.”
