Joshua vs Wallin: Who Will Come Out on Top?
Deontay Wilder, the American knockout artist, has shared his prediction for the highly anticipated clash between Anthony Joshua and Otto Wallin. Joshua, the two-time world heavyweight champion, is set to face Wallin in Saudi Arabia on December 23.
Wilder's Bold Prediction
When asked for his prediction by ESNews, Wilder confidently stated, "Joshua. I think Joshua knocks him out. Six to eight rounds." Wilder's endorsement of Joshua comes as no surprise, as both fighters are expected to face each other next year if they emerge victorious in their respective bouts in Saudi Arabia.
Holyfield Backs Wilder's Power
Legendary heavyweight Evander Holyfield recently weighed in on the potential Joshua-Wilder fight, expressing his belief that Wilder's concussive punching power makes him a formidable opponent for Joshua. Holyfield stated, "I think Wilder will get him because of the big shot, and because of the style Joshua fights. He stands off and he's open, and when you're open that way, [Wilder] will get the right hand on you."
Joshua and Wilder's Recent Performances
Joshua has had a successful year, defeating Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius after suffering back-to-back defeats against Oleksandr Usyk. On the other hand, Wilder has only fought once since his second loss to Tyson Fury in October 2021, securing a first-round KO victory over Helenius in October 2022.
As fans eagerly await the Joshua-Wilder showdown, the anticipation continues to build. Will Joshua's skills be enough to overcome Wallin, or will Wilder's power prevail? Boxing enthusiasts will have their answer on December 23.
