Dillian Whyte preparing for ‘WAR’ with Tyson Fury but is ‘very relaxed’ for grudge match as contract deadline is set

DILLIAN WHYTE has adopted a ‘WAR’ mindset ahead of his long-awaited showdown with Tyson Fury.

The Brixton banger is set to challenge Fury for the WBC heavyweight title in the spring but signed contracts for their grudge match have yet to be turned into the governing body.

And the Body Snatcher is preparing for a ‘war’ with the Gypsy King

Whyte, 33, has remained quiet since promoter Frank Warren won the bid for the clash of former sparring partners but has quietly been preparing for a battle of the ages.

During a live streaming session of the Stamina For Sale podcast, boxing promoter Spencer Fearon told co-host Tunde Ajayi: “I spoke to him [Whyte] yesterday and he was properly on one.

“Maybe it was the time, maybe you rang him when he was in the gym. So big up Dillian Whyte. I appreciate that you answered my call.

“I was going to the barbershop with my boy and we had a good chat. And he was just on, bruv, on some war ting bruv. Do you know what I mean?”

Being in battle mode hasn’t clouded the judgement of the interim WBC heavyweight champion.

Fearon continued: “He was very relaxed. Like, ‘Yeah, don’t worry. It’s all good.’ Very relaxed.

“Like, he knows the task at hand. He knows it’s not going to be easy, he knows this.

“Because I’m telling you, that Gypsy juju Fury has got is serious. Trust me, it’s serious.”

Contracts for the domestic dust-up have yet to be turned in as Whyte is still disputing the 80-20 purse split, which would currently see him pocket a £6.1million purse.

Both fighters have until February 21 to send their signed bout agreements to the WBC.

Whyte has yet to comment on Warren’s landing of the fight, a silence Fury has interpreted as fear.

The Gypsy King said: “Whyte feathers, coward. Where are ya Whyte feathers?

“You wanted your world title shot with [Deontay] Wilder for three years, you never got it.

“You was mandatory for me for three minutes and you got your fight, didn’t you coward? ‘Tyson Fury’s a coward, he don’t want to fight Dillian Whyte’.

Tyson Fury has trolled Dillian Whyte over his silence

“But all of a sudden it’s on your toes and you’ve gone silent you little b****. Come out of hiding Whyte feathers. Come and get it.

“You’re getting a good hiding, you wanted a bit of free money didn’t you dosser?

“But now you’re getting eight million, which is seven-and-a-half million too much for you, you old dosser. Come out and say something, bum.”
