‘Disgusting and tasteless’ – Eddie Hearn rips into Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul press conference after John’s vile comments

EDDIE HEARN has slammed John Fury’s vile remarks in the press conference for his son Tommy’s fight with Jake Paul.

A fired-up John claimed son Tommy would ‘bend’ Julia Rose over and ‘do her like a dog’ as he raged at The Problem Child, who was in attendance via videocall.

Tyson Fury’s dad John shocked viewers with his remarks to Jake Paul
Eddie Hearn has now waded in and slammed it as ‘disgusting’ and ‘terrible’

The astonishing rant stunned those in attendance and fans watching around the world, so much so BT felt the need to apologise for airing the offensive remarks.

Now Hearn, the Matchroom promoter for Tyson Fury’s rival Anthony Joshua, has joined in the condemnation.

Speaking to iFL TV, he said: “I thought it was disgusting to be honest with you. You’ve got the younger generation watching that…

“Even, actually, for one time I felt a little bit for Frank Warren because I’ve been there on a much less cringe stage with KSI and Logan Paul.

“Frank was embarrassed. The language is terrible. I like beef, I love it, but for me it’s a bad look.”

Hearn added: “It was disgusting, it was tasteless, the language was terrible – but me saying that it’s ‘Oh it’s Eddie, it’s just because he’s not involved in the event’.

“I am over the moon that I am not involved in that. Trust me.

“The fight’s not bad, I don’t mind it, but the production and everything was so bad.

“It’s a bad look for boxing, BT knows that and Frank knows that, we know that – but it’s none of my business.”

Sons Tommy and Tyson appeared to be embarrassed by their dad’s shocking rant and a number of other comments he made.

And moments before the presser concluded, the Gypsy King laughed and said: “Security, take the mic off John.”

He then asked the host: “Can we wrap up then? Before my dad gets himself in a world of trouble.”

John laughed off his son’s comment, saying: “You should not be ashamed. My middle name’s trouble.”

Former Love Islander Tommy, 22, is just weeks away from locking horns with YouTuber Paul.

The social media stars will clash in a Tampa tussle on December 18, which John believes will be a walk in the park for his son.
