Meanwhile Beterbiev added the WBO belt to his collection last weekend after blasting out Joe Smith Jr in just two rounds.
Attention has turned towards a dream encounter between the two heavy-handed bangers later in 2022.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Bivol has stated he is looking forward to trading punches with the 37-year-old.

He said: “Yes of course, it is my goal.
“I watched the [Beterbiev-Smith] fight.
“As I have said before, I am very excited about unifying all the belts in the division.”
It’s not just Bivol that is keen to face Beterbiev next, with Britain’s Anthony Yarde eager to secure a second world title shot after his 2019 defeat against Sergey Kovalev.

Asked about a clash with Yarde, Beterbiev remarked: “Unification fights are more interesting, more motivating.
“I prefer the unification fight. I want to be undisputed.”
Yarde was in attendance in New York to watch Beterbiev destroy Smith Jr at the Hulu Theater.
Commenting on a potential encounter, the Londoner stated: “Beterbiev is coming to London, we are going to make it happen.
“It’s a lot of money but where I come from, I see it as opportunity to try and make a legacy.
“Money runs out but legacy lives on forever. The preparation will begin intensely as soon as I get back to London. I’ll shock a lot of people. I’m quite confident.
