Eddie Hall puts on almost A STONE over Christmas weekend ahead of Hafthor Bjornsson strongman fight

STRONGMAN Eddie Hall has revealed he has put on almost A STONE in weight over the Christmas weekend.

But judging by the photo he shared on Instagram, it hasn’t affected his stunning physique too much.

Eddie Hall says he has put on 11lbs over the Christmas weekend

The 33-year-old is poised to finally get in the ring for a boxing fight against his arch-enemy Hafthor Bjornsson this year.

The two giants were scheduled to fight in September, but Hall suffered a detached bicep in the summer to delay the fight until 2022.

Sharing a Christmas pose photo on Instagram, Hall wrote: “5kg / 11lbs on over the Xmas weekend!!!

“Weighed in at 163kg today and fair to say the run was a little harder this morning but training legs was a breeze.

“My nutritionist said I could eat and drink whatever I wanted…. Well after a year of chicken, rice and veg I think my body and mind needed it!

“Hope everyone enjoyed themselves and spent some quality time with the family.”

Icelandic superstar Bjornsson instead faced arm wrestler Devon Larratt as a short-notice replacement for Hall in Dubai and won comfortably with a first-round knockout.

And former WBO featherweight champ Alex Arthur has some serious worries for Hall.

Writing on Twitter, the 43-year-old Scot said: “Just seen big Eddie Hall punch a bag.

“They actually can’t let him fight Thor. He might get badly hurt!

“Boxing is a life and death sport. People playing it is stupid.”

Bjornsson, who played Gregor ‘The Mountain’ Clegane on Game of Thrones, is getting ready for this highly-anticipated match-up and is putting himself through his paces in a big way.
