Evander Holyfield looks in stunning shape but 57-year-old showing his age with slow hand speed as he trains for return

EVANDER HOLYFIELD continues to train for a mega boxing comeback and looks in stunning shape at the age of 57.

A return to the ring for charity is on the American icon’s mind, over nine years after his last fight.

Evander Holyfield threw punches in the gym as he practiced his form

The 57-year-old was a touch slow but looked in great shape

The Real Deal looked lean and mean as he showed off his form in a recent Instagram video.

Throwing a few punches, working on his feet movement and practicing his stance, the veteran naturally appeared a tad sluggish in the clip.

Holyfield captioned the post: “Morning training. Sitting at 215lbs right where I want to be.”

Having missed out on fighting Mike Tyson, who will face Roy Jones Jr later this year, Holyfield is looking for an opponent in his own comeback.

Training continues for the former unified heavyweight king with Wladimir Klitschko recently joining him in the gym.

Gruelling beach runs and hill climbs have also been utilised by Holyfield in his quest for fitness.

The Alabama-born champ retired with a 44-10-2 (1) record having won his first title 34 years ago.

And Riddick Bowe, 52, has challenged Holyfield and Tyson to a contest, telling SunSport: “If the fans want to see me fight again, I’m fighting. I want to make fans happy.

“It’s official. Actually, let me put it this way: I am officially back and want to and will fight.

“Come on Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield…”
