Fans complain Eddie Hall vs Thor stream DOWN as they struggle to log on to website for huge fight

BOXING fans were left FUMING after the stream showing Eddie Hall’s bout with Hafthor ‘Thor’ Bjornsson failed.

Viewers were expecting to tune into the event billed as the “heaviest boxing match ever”.

Fans struggled to log on to watch the Eddie Hall vs Thor fight

But with less than 15 minutes to go until the first bell the stream on Segi.TV was still not working, causing a lot of frustration.

To make matters worse for the pair the Dubai venue was practically empty.

Hall may have been the first Brit to win World’s Strongest Man since 1993 and the first man to deadlift 500kg, but it seems his debut boxing fight did not have much appeal in the UAE.

There were several supporters in the UK keen to see how he faired against fierce rival Thor, however, so they made their feelings known when the stream failed to work.

Thor floors Eddie Hall twice as The Mountain WINS Dubai thriller

One fan wrote on Twitter: “Putting Eddie Hall vs Thor on Segi TV is definitely a big mistake, mine won’t even load.

Another added: “This Segi TV website streaming Eddie Hall vs Thor is the biggest load of rubbish. The website isn’t even capable of one per cent of the viewers this fight has attracted.”

A third said: “Turns out Segi.tv is just some dude sat in the back row streaming off his mobile phone. You can hear some women just chatting. Stream is terrible. Total joke

Fortunately, with not much time remaining before the 9 p.m. start time, the stream started to work.

But there were still technical difficulties with some viewers only able to gain access to the stream by using the incognito mode feature on their web browser.

At one point only half the screen was showing and then the stream failed again before coming back.

Once the stream was sorted fans got they were waiting for – an entertaining spectacle between two titans.

Both Hall and Thor were keen to settle the bout with a knockout and both landed big punches in the opening two rounds.

Thor needed the ropes to avoid hitting the canvas but bounced back well and got a knockdown of his own in the dying seconds of round three.

With cuts above each eye Hall needed a knockout in the last round to win the match but it was Thor who scored a huge punch to knock the Brit to the canvas again.

The Icelandic giant dominated every round but the first round and that was enough to secure victory.
