Fans rejoice as Adam Smith returns to boxing commentary after cancer battle

Adam Smith, known as the "voice of boxing," made a triumphant return to live TV after successfully overcoming cancer. The legendary Sky Sports commentator was back ringside for Katie Taylor's revenge match against Chantelle Cameron in Dublin, after being in the hospital during their first fight. Fans were elated to see Smith back in action after his departure from Sky after 29 years.

Viewers thrilled by Smith's return

Armchair sports fans couldn't contain their excitement as Smith took his place behind the microphone once again. Viewers expressed how right it felt to hear Smith speak, with comments like "It's so nice to see him back" and "When he spoke, it just felt so right." Featherweight hopeful Ellie Sctoney even described Smith as "the voice of boxing."

Smith's own elation

Smith himself was thrilled to be back in the thick of the action. He expressed his gratitude for being alive and cancer-free, saying, "It's great to be here, it's great to be alive. It's fantastic, I'm cancer-free, back at ringside." Smith also shared his connection with Katie Taylor, an old friend, and the excitement of being present for her rematch with Chantelle Cameron. He couldn't attend their first fight due to being in the hospital but was determined to be there for the rematch.
