Fans stunned by how much sweat Canelo Alvarez empties from pants after intense workout ahead of Gennady Golovkin trilogy

CANELO ALVAREZ has been left quite literally sweating over his trilogy bout with Gennady Golovkin following an intense session.

The great boxing rivals are set to renew their rivalry over the weekend for the third fight in their epic series.

Canelo Alvarez shows off his weight cut

A pile of sweat pours out of Canelo Alvarez’s training gear

Canelo, 32, is moving back down to the 12 stone super-middleweight division to defend his undisputed crown.

It was only in May he lost to light-heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol, 31, at the 12st 7lb limit.

So the Mexican superstar is having to do everything he can to shift the extra few lbs.

But if his recent video in the gym is anything to go by, Canelo is having no such problem.

In the clip, he is seen rinsing out his training gear, leaving a puddle of sweat on the floor and fans stunned.

One said: “I’ve never seen someone sweat that much.”

Another added: “Was it raining?”

Canelo is also wearing a specially crafted WBC sweat suit which is aided to help during weight cuts.

Golovkin, 40, is actually fighting outside of the 11st 6lb middleweight division for the first time in his career.

It is at that weight he drew with Canelo in 2017 before losing their rematch a year later.

With extra weight to play around with ahead of his super-middleweight debut, GGG may not be in need of a sweat suit himself.

He told Yahoo Sports: “Indeed, it’s a new weight division for me, and there are certain nuances, and we are making appropriate adjustments.

“My focus is on heavy training and my experience. I think the difference would be in making this weight, so I feel very comfortable making 160.

“From from time to time, I will have to probably wear this weight burning suit a couple of times, while, for 168, there is a chance that I will not need it.”
