Fans stunned by Olekansdr Usyk’s body transformation since Anthony Joshua fight as he trains in gym

BOXING fans have been left stunned by Oleksandr Usyk’s stunning body transformation ahead of his return to the ring.

The WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO and Ring Magazine heavyweight champion appears to be set to defend his belts against Daniel Dubois next.

The bulked-up Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua for a second time in August

Fans are now torn after seeing the new slimmed down version of the champ

He is believed to be preparing to face the Brit on August 12 in Poland after talks for a unification showdown broke down with Tyson Fury.

However Usyk, who bulked up to 221.5 lbs for his second victory over Anthony Joshua last year, looks to be a lot leaner now.

The undefeated 36-year-old posted some photos of him with his trainer during a gym session over the weekend.

And fans were left debating whether or not his transformation was a good or bad thing.

“Too small,” commented one fan in reaction to the snap.

Another called him a “small guy” as another said he was a “middleweight” after apparently shedding the pounds.

And a fellow concerned fan said: “He looks slim as hell.”

However, not everyone was trolling the champ and, in fact, many were left worried for Dubois having seen the trimmed down southpaw.

“Dubois is in trouble” predicted one.

Another wrote: “Dubois going to sleep in round five,” said another.

Although a fellow boxing fan declared: “Usyk is trying to look hard but can’t even knock down a glass of milk.”

The basic skills of boxing are:

  • Techniques for punching
  • Guarding techniques
  • Footwork
  • Stance
  • Move your body
  • Defense
  • Combination
  • Rotation
  • Spare parts

Punching Techniques

There are seven types: Left Hook (right hook), Right Hook (uppercut), Cross (cross), Straight, Overhand, Underhand. Each punch is different. Some punches need more power than others. For example, an uppercut is a powerful punch. On the contrary, a straight punch takes less power but is faster than most punches.

There are also different combinations. These are combinations of punches which work together to achieve a goal. A combination may have multiple parts. A combination may include multiple parts. For example, damage to the jaw of an opponent can be caused by a left hook and a right cross.

Guard Techniques

A boxer protects himself by using his body. He does this using his legs and arms, elbows as well as hands, knees and feet.

Legs

To defend against kicks, a boxer should use his legs. When he receives a kick, he raises his leg and moves away from the attacker. To avoid being kicked on the sides, he bends at his knees when the attacker strikes from the front. But if the attack comes in the back, he will stand straight and block the kick using his foot.

Elbows

Because elbow strikes inflict a lot of pain, they are very effective. An elbow strike can be delivered either directly or indirectly. Directly, you strike your opponent with your forearm. Indirectly, you hit him with another portion of your arm.

Hands

Boxers use both their hands and arms to prevent incoming blows. To do this, they raise their fists higher than their heads and move their arms in the direction that the attack is coming. They then touch the attackers fist.

Knees

Boxers should bend their knees when receiving blows to the abdomen, stomach, or chest. For defense purposes, knee strikes are common.

Feet

A boxer should not be afraid to respond to an attack. This will help him gain distance from his opponent. Boxers should also keep their balance when counter-attacking.

Stances

Boxing effectively requires a boxer to have a good stance. The way he defends himself will be determined by his stance. It is how he positions himself and where he faces the opponent. Boxers can take many different stances. Here are some of the most common ones:

  • A low stance
  • High stance
  • Southpaw stance
  • Western stance

Body Movement

In order to win a fight, a boxer must move around his opponent. This requires changing your position, speed, and rhythm.

Rotation

Rotating his arm to increase the puncher’s reach is a key part of boxing. The rotation is done at different speeds depending on the type of punch.

Combinations

The timing of each individual punch affects the effectiveness or failure of a combination. A combination that works well starts with strong punches and ends with weak ones is a winning combination.

Spare parts

Sparring, a boxing practice session, is designed to improve your boxing skills. Sparring allows a boxer to improve his mental and physical skills. The purpose of sparring is, in short, to learn how fight and not get hurt.

To sum it all, boxing requires patience and dedication. To be a better boxer you need to train hard.
