Five next fights for Thor after Game of Thrones star beat Eddie Hall including rematch, Martyn Ford and Tyson Fury

HAFTHOR BJORNSSON’S dominant win over Eddie Hall in Dubai has opened the door for a number of mouthwatering fights.

The pair of former world’s strongest men went the full six rounds in their grudge match – but it was the man nicknamed Thor who came out on top.

Thor beat Hall in an entertaining encounter between the two giants

Twice the 33-year-old dropped Hall, 34, to the canvas, helping him secure victory via unanimous decision.

Hall though did have his 6ft 9in Icelandic opponent rocking at times, and immediately called for a rematch after his defeat.

But a number of other candidates have also thrown their hat into the ring to be the next to take on the man who played The Mountain in Game of Thrones.

Here SunSport takes a look at who could be in Thor’s firing line.

Eddie Hall (rematch)

After Saturday night’s fight both mean teased a potential rematch.

Hall did force a standing count in the second after a meaty right hand, and will feel like there’s unfinished business between the two giants.

And Thor said to the crowd: “Understandably he seemed a bit angry still. He lost the fight so it’s understandable as well.

“But I’m happy, if he wants the rematch I’ll take a rematch no problem. Would you guys like to see a rematch?”

Martyn Ford

Ford, 39, has been dubbed the “World’s Scariest Man” due to his villainous looks in various move roles.

He was ringside in Dubai cheering on good friend Hall and revealed after the fight he was “gutted” for his pal.

But 6ft 7in Ford insisted he’d “back himself” to beat man mountain Thor, telling iFL TV: “I’d take Thor, 100 per cent, I don’t know if I’d ‘knock him out’ but I’d win. I’d back myself, 100 per cent.”

Although he admitted he would only agree to the fight – which Thor has also opened the door to – if given the blessing of close pal Hall.

Tyson Fury

Thor called out Tyson Fury BEFORE he’d even beaten Hall, declaring he would “absolutely” go toe-to-toe with the world heavyweight champ.

And Thor even backed himself to beat the Gypsy King, 33, insisting: “A lot of people have asked if I’ll fight Tyson Fury.

“Will I fight the best boxer in the world right now? Absolutely. If the offer is there, 100 per cent. I couldn’t say no to that.”

He added: “I would train my ass off and surprise the world.”

Boxing world champ Fury is a surprise candidate

Sajad Gharibi

The man nicknamed “The Iranian Hulk” is another potential contender to face Thor.

Gharibi, 29, weighs in at an enormous 390lbs and is currently preparing for a bout at London’s O2 Arena against Ford on April 30.

And the winner of that fight – in front of an expected 20,000 people – could put themselves in line for a shot against Thor.

The Polish strongman has already been called out by Hall, but his defeat last night could see Pudzianowski take on Thor instead.
