Floyd Mayweather goads Manny Pacquiao over bank balance ahead of Spence Jr bout and says ‘he has to fight… I don’t’

FLOYD MAYWEATHER has poked fun at Manny Pacquiao by insisting his former rival ‘has to fight’ ahead of the Filipino’s showdown with Errol Spence Jr in August.

Pacquiao, 42, who lost to Mayweather by unanimous decision six years ago, is returning after more than two years out of the ring to take on the American welterweight champion who is 11 years his junior.

Mayweather has revealed he will be supporting Spence in his fight against Pacquiao
Pacquiao has called for a rematch with Mayweather for several years

Meanwhile, Mayweather is taking on YouTube star Logan Paul on Sunday night in an eight-round exhibition.

Pretty Boy Floyd is set to make £72million for the bout against the 0-1 internet sensation.

And with Pacquiao still taking world title contests while Mayweather continues to make obscene amounts of money for far less taxing fights, the 50-0 star took the opportunity to dig out the man he beat back in 2015.

Speaking to Barbershop Conversations, he said: “Of course, I’m behind Errol Spence 100%.

“I wanna see Spence win. Actually, I’m gonna call him and give him some pointers.

“Pacquiao, he has to fight, I don’t. I put myself in a position where I don’t have to fight anymore.”

Paul weighed in a whopping 34.5 pounds heavier than Mayweather on Saturday.

The pair went head to head in an intense face-off as Mayweather laughed off his opponent’s attempt to intimidate him.

Pacquiao will look to cause an upset against Spence later this year

Speaking about the fight, Money said: “I’ve been here before, so I know what it takes. I’ve fought every different style you can possibly fight.

“Height don’t win fights, weight don’t win fights, fighting wins fights at the end of the day and I can fight.

“Once again, I’m not worried about a hat. I don’t worry about what nobody says. The one thing I can do, I can fight.

“I’ve been at the top level for 25 years, so I know what it takes when it’s a fight of this magnitude.”

Paul will make his ring walk to face Mayweather at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami in the early hours of Monday morning UK time.

There will be a full capacity crowd in the Hard Rock Stadium for the event, likely around 70,000 fans in attendance.
