Alvarez's Battle Scars
Ex-UFC champion Eddie Alvarez faced a brutal defeat in a bare-knuckle boxing match against Mike Perry, leaving him with horrifying facial injuries. The two former MMA stars headlined a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Corner Pulls Alvarez Out
Alvarez and Perry put on a hellacious show for two rounds, but Alvarez's corner decided to pull him out of the bout due to the severe swelling in his left eye.
Showing Off the Damage
After the fight, Alvarez, 39, displayed the extent of his battle scars in a post-fight press conference. His face was severely swollen and bruised, a testament to the intensity of the match. Perry, 32, also had visible marks from the fight as he celebrated his victory.
Perry Calls Out McGregor and Till
Following his undefeated record in four BKFC bouts, Perry called out Conor McGregor and Darren Till. He believes a matchup with McGregor would be great, stating that he just beat someone McGregor fought for a world title. Perry also expressed his willingness to fight without gloves, challenging Till to face him bare-knuckled.
Perry confidently declared himself the "king of violence" in combat sports after his victory over Alvarez.
