Fury, 33, is seemingly preparing for life after boxing and admits he’d to see former foe Wilder fight for the belt once he’s walked away from the sport.

He told Behind The Gloves: “I’d like to see Deontay Wilder fight whoever for it again.

“I don’t know how that’s [Wilder being No.1 in the WBC rankings] even possible. He’s lost three fights in a row and still No.1-rated.

“But that’s up to them.”

Fury ended Wilder’s five-year reign as WBC heavyweight champion in February 2020 with a seventh-round TKO victory in Las Vegas.

The Wythenshawe warrior knocked the American out cold in their trilogy fight last October but believes the former champ doesn’t get enough credit for his previous wins.

He said: “One thing, [though], Deontay made ten title defences; more than anybody else.

“He equalled Muhammad Ali’s record, beat Vitali Klitschko’s record; [he] doesn’t get the credit he deserves.

“And I do believe he’s still the second-best heavyweight in the world, Deontay Wilder.

“I believe he knocks everybody else out but me.”

Wilder, 36, hasn’t set foot inside the ring since his brutal 11th-round loss to Fury last year but is eyeing a summer return.

Fury, meanwhile, is contemplating retirement, saying in his post-fight interview: ” You know, I promised my lovely wife that after the Wilder 3 fight, that would be it and I meant it.

“But I got offered to fight at Wembley at home and I believed I deserved and owed it [to the fans].
