EDDIE HALL has vowed to leave Hafthor Bjornsson ‘lying on the floor’ as he promised a knockout in next month’s ‘heaviest boxing match in history’.

The former strongmen duo were meant to settle old scores in September following a brutal war of words dating back five years.

Eddie Hall has vowed to KO Hafthor Bjornsson in next month’s heavyweight clash
Bjornsson has taunted Hall by claiming he could ‘back out again’

But the Las Vegas scrap, which was then moved to Florida, was put on ice after Hall suffered a detached bicep.

However, both men are in top fighting condition again.

And Bjornsson revealed this week that their highly-anticipated boxing match will finally take place next month.

The giants, both former World’s Strongest Man champions and world record deadlift holders, hope to show the public they can go the distance after dropping huge amounts of weight.

But Hall insists it will be Bjornsson who hits the canvas when they get to unleash hell against each other.

Hall said via Geezers Boxing and his website: “Not only will this be the heaviest boxing match in history, but it features two immense competitors who have been training intensely to reach peak mental and physical fitness.

“Winning is everything in this once-in-a-lifetime clash. But I know one thing – I want it more and will leave Thor lying on the floor.

“I love it that my fight is the number one most anticipated battle of 2022. It stirs me up – gives me even more drive, if ever that was needed.

“When that bell goes, I won’t be letting anyone down. I’ll be in a zone – THE ZONE – like no-one has ever seen me in before.”

However, Bjornsson isn’t holding out hope for Hall to reach the fight date uninjured.

Alongside an Instagram video of himself hitting the heavy bag, the Icelandic giant wrote: “March it is. Fight is on.
