‘It’s always going to be Fury that wins that’ – Tyson Fury should ‘easily beat’ Anthony Joshua, says Amir Khan

TYSON FURY would easily beat Anthony Joshua, according to former two weight-world champion Amir Khan.

The heavyweight superstars agreed a blockbuster showdown last year, only for Brit fight fans to be denied when Deontay Wilder exercised his rematch clause with the Gypsy King.

Tyson Fury would prove too good for Anthony Joshua, according to Amir Khan

Fury, 33, saw off Wilder for the second time in an epic last October, but Joshua was deposed in brutal style with Oleksandr Usyk a month earlier.

Joshua, 32, must now avenge his loss to the Ukrainian this year to renew hope of an all-British unification bout with Fury.

But, according to Khan it would be a no-contest anyway.

The Bolton boxer, who finally faces bitter rival Kell Brook in Manchester this weekend, previously told FightHype: “My opinion, and I’ve always said, that Tyson Fury is the best heavyweight in the division.

“With the skillset he has got, he beats anyone with power. What he did to Deontay Wilder, no-one would expect that.

“If that same Fury goes into a fight with Anthony Joshua, it’s always going to be Fury that wins that.

“I still favour him if he gets that fight and I think it will be an easy win for him.

“I feel AJ is more a robotic style, similar to a Frank Bruno style, and he is very strong. If AJ catches you then he’s going to hurt you.

“But we have seen Fury being hit by the hardest hitter, Wilder, being put down and he got back up again.

“All day going into that fight Fury wins. I think he has got everything on his side.”

An overwhelming 72 per cent of fans backed Fury to dethrone Joshua in the Battle of Britain.

In a poll of over 10,000 SunSport readers, only 24 per cent voted in favour of AJ beating WBC king Fury.

Fury is still unbeaten in 32 fights, with just one draw on his record against Wilder, while AJ’s defeat to Usyk was his second.
