But due the 43-year-old’s age, it has not been approved by the board, causing a furious outburst from Browne.

He said: “I’m currently holding an IBF and WBA regional title and a top 15 world ranking with the WBA, but apparently, I’m too old.

“You finally get the greatest news ever that you can fight for a world title and some board, somewhere say, ‘Oh no, he’s 43, he’s too old. We’re not going to sanction it.’

“How said is that? Wow. It’s not like I’ve been beat around my head my whole career, I’ve got three losses in total.

“How does this work? How exactly does this work where a body of people, who are obviously too old to fight themselves, just go, ‘Oh no, he’s too old. We’re not going to worry about it.’

“I’m coming off two great knockout wins, with two belts and a world rating, how am I too old?

“If I was too old I wouldn’t have any of that. If I’m coming off losses, totally understand.

“How in any way whatsoever is that right and how can that be allowed to stand? I don’t understand.”

And Browne slammed the decision to not let him challenge for the same belt he formerly held.

He said: “Again the guy from Australia gets f***** over again. And that’s the problem with boxing. It’s money and politics.

“If you don’t have the money and politics to back it up, you get f*****over and that’s been my entire career, unfortunately.

“My entire career I have been f***** over by everyone in boxing.

Olympic boxing is practiced at the Olympics. International standards require that boxers use special protective gear. The competition lasts approximately three minutes for each round. Olympic boxing can be divided into two types: Light Flyweight (Heavyweight) and Heavyweight (Light Flyweight).

The basic skills of boxing are:

  • Punching techniques
  • Guarding techniques
  • Footwork
  • Stance
  • Movement of the body
  • Defense
  • Combination
  • Rotation
  • Spares

Punching Techniques

There are seven types. Each punch is unique. Some punches require more strength than others. A strong uppercut for example requires a lot of force. However, a straight punch is much more powerful and faster than other punches.

There are also different combinations. These are combinations of punches which work together to achieve a goal. A combination may have multiple parts. A left hook followed with a right-cross will cause injury to the opponent’s jaw.

Guard Techniques

A boxer protects himself by using his body. He does this using his legs and arms, elbows as well as hands, knees and feet.

Legs

Boxers must use their legs to defend themselves against kicks. After receiving a kick, he will raise his leg and move away from the attacker. If the attack comes from the front, then he bends his knees to avoid being kicked on the side. He will block the kick with his foot if the attack is coming from behind.

Elbows

Because they cause great pain, elbow strikes are extremely effective. An elbow strike can be delivered either directly or indirectly. Directly means that you hit your opponent with your forearm while indirectly means that you hit him with another part of your arm.

Hands

Boxers use both their hands and arms to prevent incoming blows. Boxers raise their fists to block incoming blows and then move in the direction of the attacker’s attack. Then they make contact with the attacker’s fist.

Knees

A boxer should bend his knees in order to absorb any blows to his stomach, abdomen, chest or stomach. Defense purposes are often served by knee strikes.

Feet

If he is being attacked, a boxer must take a step back and counter-attack. This will help him gain distance from his opponent. Additionally, boxers need to maintain their balance when they counter-attack.

Stances

Boxing is only possible if a boxer has a clear stance. How he defends his self will depend on how he stances. It is how he positions himself and where he faces the opponent. Boxers have many stances to choose from. These are some of our most favorite:

  • Low stance
  • High stance
  • Southpaw stance
  • Western stance

Moving your body

Boxers must maneuver around their opponent to win fights. This includes changing speed, position and rhythm.

Rotation

To increase his punching power, a boxer rotates when he throws a punch. You can rotate at different speeds depending upon the punch.

Combinations

The timing of each punch determines the effectiveness of a combination. A combination of strong and weak punches will produce a good result.

Spare parts

Sparring is a training session that improves boxing skills. Sparring is a training session that helps a boxer train his mind and body. Sparring is a way to learn how to fight without getting hurt.
