Jake Paul against Tommy Fury to be for all new strap created by WBC… but fans have already given belt vile nickname

FANS have labelled the belt for Jake Paul’s fight with Tommy Fury the “diarrhoea belt”.

The belt was created for the fight by the WBC and is named the “Diriyah Strap”, which will be given to the victor of the fight.

Fans have called the Diriyah Strap the ‘Diarrhoea belt’

The belt has been titled that because the fight between the two will take place at the Diriyah Arena in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, with the winner been crowned the Diriyah Champion.

WBC wrote on social media: “The World Boxing Council has created the Diriyah Strap to recognize the importance of ‘The Truth’ to the boxing scene as this event continues supporting the growth of our sport by bringing new viewership.

“Jake has dedication and respect to the sport and Tommy Fury, from the Fury boxing dynasty, represents a clear challenge to Paul in a battle of two undefeated professional boxers.”

However, fans have used the old homophone trick to give the belt its vile new nickname.

One tweeted: “Haha. A million Diarrhoea songs passed through my head.”

A second commented: “Diarrhoea Champion.”

While a third wrote: “The diarrhoea championship.”

And a fourth said: “A damn

belt!! A diarrhoea belt haha.”

The bout – touted as ‘The Truth’ – is set to take place on Sunday.

The two boxers have agreed that the winner will take all the money following a bet during their heated press conference.

Fury has also been asked about his next step after the fight.

He told BT Sport: “Well this is no step up for me, this is a step down, in terms of fighting and competition.

“So me being a realist and me being an actual boxer who knows what he is really is – (mocking Paul) ‘oh I’m going to fight Canelo [Alvarez] for the undisputed’ – no I ain’t.

“I beat Jake Paul, an absolute idiot. I’ll go back and fight some proper boxers, build up my resume, get some titles behind me and see how far I can take this thing.

“My feet are on the floor, his head is in the clouds.

“After this it’s business as usual. Like I said all along, I’m on that straight road to achieving my dream of winning a world title.

“I need some fuel. Boom, stopping off. I’m gonna jump straight back on the road and go towards my dream. This guy does nothing for me.”
