Promoter Frank Warren has revealed third deal is close to coming to fruition

SunSport understands talks over the grudge match resumed not long after Fury’s short-notice Dubai dust-up with Rolly Lambert last November.

And promoter Frank Warren has revealed both parties are not “far off” reaching a third agreement.

He told iFL TV: “Both sides are really eager to making it happen and I don’t think we’re far off getting it on.

“I think we’re quite close to making it happen.”

Former Love Island star Fury – the brother of WBC heavyweight champ Tyson – will receive a career-high purse for the showdown.

Warren said: “It’s a life-changing money fight for him and obviously he wants it.”

Paul and Fury, 25 and 23 respectively, were first scheduled to trade leather in December 2021 but injury and illness to the latter scuppered the bout.

The showdown was rebooked for last August but fell through in July when Fury was banned from entering the United States.

But Warren is confident it’ll be third time lucky once the deal is finalised.

The Queensberry Promotions chief said: “It was on, then he couldn’t get into the States which was a problem.

“But we’ll get it on, we’re really determined to make it happen.

“All sides are really good on getting it over the line – we will get it over the line.”

YouTuber turned boxer Paul has gone a perfect 6-0 since turning pro in December 2019 and is confident of wiping the floor with the youngest Fury.

During an appearance on The MMA Hour, he said: “The kid’s a novice, he’s never fought anyone good.

Jake Paul believes he’ll easily get the better of Tommy Fury

“He’s never even fought an eight-round fight.

“He just doesn’t have the experience like I do, which is crazy to say because he’s been doing it his whole life.

“But people call him a professional boxer and they respect him as a professional boxer.

“So I would love to strip that title from him.

“I wouldn’t even have to actually train for that fight.

“I would still train because I’m a professional, but I wouldn’t have to train to fight him.”

Punching Techniques

There are seven kinds of punches: Left Hook, Right Hook, Uppercut, Cross, Straight, Overhand and Underhand. Each punch has its own technique. Some punches require more force than others. An example of this is an uppercut, which requires tremendous force. On the other hand, a straight punch requires less power but it is faster than other punches.

There are also many combinations. These are combinations of punches which work together to achieve a goal. A combination can contain multiple parts. A left hook followed with a right-cross will cause injury to the opponent’s jaw.

Guard Techniques

To defend himself from being attacked, a boxer uses his entire body. He uses his arms, legs, elbows, knees, knees, and feet to do this.

Legs

Boxers should use their legs to defend against kicks. After receiving a kick, he will raise his leg and move away from the attacker. To avoid being kicked in the side, he bends down if the attacker attacks from the front. But if the attack comes in the back, he will stand straight and block the kick using his foot.

Elbows

Elbow strikes are very powerful because they inflict great pain. An elbow strike can be delivered either directly or indirectly. Directly means that your opponent is hit with your forearm. However, indirectly means that your elbow strike is delivered with another part or your arm.

Hands

Boxers use the power of their hands to block any incoming blows. Boxers use their hands to stop incoming punches. They raise their fists up above their heads and move towards the attack. They then make contact with their attacker’s fist.

Knees

Boxers should bend their knees when receiving blows to the abdomen, stomach, or chest. Knee strikes are often used for defense purposes.

Feet

A boxer should not be afraid to respond to an attack. This allows him to put distance between himself, his opponent, and the ring. Also, boxers must maintain their balance while delivering counter-attacks.

Stances

Boxing effectively requires a boxer to have a good stance. The way he defends himself will be determined by his stance. It determines where he will face his opponent and how he will position his body. There are many positions that boxers can adopt. These are some of our most favorite:

  • Low stance
  • High stance
  • Southpaw stance
  • Western stance

Body Movement

A boxer must change his position, speed and rhythm in order to win the fight. This involves changing positions, speed, rhythm and timing.

Rotation

To increase his punching power, a boxer rotates when he throws a punch. The rotation is done at different speeds depending on the type of punch.
