Jake Paul has taken to social media to challenge the reported pay-per-view sales of KSI's fight with Tommy Fury. The controversial bout saw Fury come out on top in a influencer boxing event that also featured Logan Paul's victory over Dillon Danis.
Paul Counters Promotion's Claims
Happy Punch promotions, which had several fighters on the card, stated that the event sold 1.3 million PPVs. However, Jake Paul has refuted this claim and asserted that the fight actually sold 100,000 less than the 800,000-plus PPVs his own loss to Fury in February generated.
Paul Responds to Fury's Prediction
When shown a clip of Tommy Fury predicting a victory for Paul over KSI, the American influencer responded by stating, "Hahahaha. KSI is going to appeal this interview. 700K buys globally they did. Great number. Less than Tommy and I but still a great outcome thanks to Logan being on the card."
DAZN PPV Sales in the US
Esteemed wrestling reporter Dave Meltzer revealed that the DAZN PPV only garnered 100,000 buys in the US. If Paul's calculations are accurate, that would mean approximately 600,000 PPV buys came from the UK.
Manager Hits Back at Paul
Mams Taylor, KSI's manager and co-founder of Misfits Boxing, responded to Paul's claims by posting on X (formerly known as Twitter): "First of all, you and Tommy did 550k globally (most from the UK). Secondly, you and Nate barely did 350k. Thirdly, you guys put Showtime in $16M of debt and contributed to their downfall because you demanded crazy undeserved upfront fees and PPV sales tanked. Fourthly, we did more than 700k but nice try. What else?"
