Jake Paul plans to take over UFC after boxing and will be trained by Khabib’s legendary coach

JAKE PAUL revealed he will ‘100 per cent’ have an MMA fight before his career is over.

The YouTube star has beaten two former UFC stars in the boxing ring, Ben Askren and most recently Tyron Woodley.

And ahead of his rematch with Woodley, former high school wrestling champion Paul admitted he could soon head into their world.

He said: “For sure, 100 per cent I think it could happen. Why not?

“If I can learn how to box in two years and beat people like [Woodley], then why can’t I learn how to do MMA in two years and beat people like him?

“That’s my answer, it will happen at some point, 100 per cent.”

In Paul’s first three fights, he beat YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Askren, also 37.

His biggest win to date was then against Woodley, 39, in August over eight rounds.

Paul then signed to fight Tommy Fury, 22, but his online rival pulled out of their celebrity grudge match.

Woodley has since signed as a late replacement to set up the anticipated rematch over the weekend in Florida.

Ahead of the fight, Paul doubled down on potentially entering the cage.

And he revealed talks with Khabib Nurmagomedov’s trainer Javier Mendez, a friend of his coach BJ Flores, have already taken place.

He said: “For sure I will. People seem to forget that I was a state wrestler, division one in Ohio.

“That’s one of the hardest wrestling states and I don’t see why if I can do boxing at this high of a level that I couldn’t do MMA at this high of a level.

“I’m going to go and get coached up by Javier Mendes, Team Khabib and that’s that.

“They’re down, 100 per cent – I’ve got to go 10-0 or 12-0 in boxing first and then I’ll hit that MMA fight.”
