Jake Paul Reveals £30 Million Boxing Payday and Plans for Next Fight

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has divulged the details of his biggest boxing payday and his future plans in the ring.

Since making his debut in boxing in 2020, Paul has experienced a lucrative prizefighting career. In just a year, he earned a staggering £30 million from three fights and even made it onto Forbes' sporting rich list. Interestingly, Paul managed to make the same amount of money in just one night, despite suffering his first ever defeat at the hands of Tommy Fury in February.

The Origins of the Mega-Payday

During an appearance on the NELK Boys podcast, Paul was asked about his highest purse. He replied, "It's close to $30 million. Tommy Fury (fight)." Paul and Fury, both known for their celebrity status, had been feuding for nearly two years before they finally stepped into the ring together. Fury, 24, had to cancel two previous fights due to a rib injury and issues with his US visa. Paul, 26, believes that the prolonged rivalry helped generate significant interest, with over 800,000 pay-per-views sold. Furthermore, the star-studded event attracted numerous legends, including Cristiano Ronaldo.

Next Fight and Future Plans

Despite his defeat to Fury, Paul decided not to pursue a rematch and instead secured a victory over Nate Diaz, 38, in August. Currently, Fury is scheduled to fight KSI, 30, on Saturday. Looking ahead, Paul stated that his next bout might be against a professional boxer, even if they are not well-known. His goal is to take the traditional boxing route, steadily moving up the rankings and aiming to become a world champion. Paul said, "I want to challenge myself, continue to grow in this sport, and reach the top."
