Jake Paul Reveals Hour-Long Phone Call with Tommy Fury for Rematch, But Fears Excuses

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury

Jake Paul has revealed that he recently spent an hour on the phone negotiating a rematch with Tommy Fury, but he fears that his rival is already making excuses to avoid the fight. The celebrity boxing pair ended their two-year feud in February, with Fury emerging as the split-decision winner. However, Paul has since bounced back with two wins and is eager for a rematch.

Money Could Be an Obstacle

During his podcast, Paul mentioned that talks with Fury are back underway, but money could prove to be an obstacle. He explained that the conversation was centered around Fury demanding more money for the fight, despite not receiving a better offer from anyone else. Paul believes that Fury is making excuses and is hesitant to accept the rematch offer.

Paul's Determination

Despite his concerns, Paul remains determined to prove himself in the ring. He acknowledges that Fury defeated him in their previous fight but believes that his skills have improved since then. Paul is ready and willing to face Fury again and is confident in his ability to come out on top this time.

Tommy Fury's Victories

Meanwhile, since defeating Paul, Tommy Fury went on to win a bout against Paul's arch rival, KSI. The build-up to that fight was filled with animosity, with KSI even spitting on Fury's dad and coach, John. However, John has made it clear that he has no interest in a rematch with KSI and is open to exploring other opportunities for his son.

KSI Not Welcome

John, who is in charge of Tommy's career, stated that KSI is not welcome at the table for a potential fight. He referred to KSI as an "ignorant man" and expressed his disdain for him due to their history and bad blood. John emphasized that there is no amount of money that would entice him to do business with KSI.

It remains to be seen whether Jake Paul and Tommy Fury will reach an agreement for a rematch. The boxing world eagerly awaits further developments.
