Jake Paul reveals why he does not celebrate when KOing rivals in ring as fans compare YouTuber to Muhammad Ali

JAKE PAUL has revealed that he doesn’t celebrate knocking out opponents as it’s what he’s ‘supposed to do’.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer extended his record to 5-0 in the ring earlier this month when he floored Tyron Woodley with a vicious right hand.

Having needed a decision to overcome T-Wood in their first meeting, Paul’s latest knockout extended his record of having knocked out everyone that he has fought.

But the 24-year-old kept his celebration relatively low-key in the ring.

Explaining this on Twitter, he wrote: “I don’t celebrate when I knock someone out because there’s nothing noble in doing what you’re supposed to do.”

Beneath Paul’s post, some social media users had the audacity to compare him to Muhammad Ali.

One wrote: “This is why Jake Paul is the next Ali

“Ali wasn’t celebrating either. They have the same birthday also. I see something in common. Destiny meets again. The next Ali.”

To which another replied, tongue-in-cheek: “And just like Ali, Jake’s greatness spreads outside of the ring also. Jake is the ideal rolemodel and best example of humility and kindness! We are truly lucky to be blessed with this man and his talents.

“My grandparents had Ali. My parents had Mike Tyson. We have Jake Paul.”

Another wrote: “The future of boxing is Jake Paul. Jake Paul has the speed of Mike Tyson, and the power of Lennox Lewis.

“I think he deserves a Championship fight. I genuinely don’t see anyone beating him in the foreseeable future and it really is a tribute to his hard work and dedication.”

A further user wanted to keep things in perspective, adding: “Jake Paul has now beaten a 40 year old retired NBA player, a YouTuber, a 40 year old retired wrestler, and a 40 year old retired MMA fighter.”

Paul has been enjoying himself in the days following his second win over Woodley, making mischief at a Miami Heat game after being compared to Ali and Tyson by brother Logan.

Tommy Fury still wants to fight Paul after having to pull out of their previously scheduled bout with injury.

But the Problem Child may have his eyes set on a more lucrative fight – with former UFC star Dan Hardy talking up the ‘ridiculous’ money that a fight between Paul and Conor McGregor would make.
