Jake Paul's MMA Debut
YouTube sensation turned boxer, Jake Paul, is inching closer to his highly anticipated MMA debut. The 26-year-old recently signed with the Professional Fighters League (PFL), a competing promotion to the UFC.
Nate Diaz Called Out
Following his ten-round points win over former UFC star Nate Diaz in August, Paul and the PFL have proposed a rematch in the cage. However, Diaz has shown little interest and instead expressed a desire for a return to the boxing ring, claiming that a deal had been agreed upon.
Paul Denies Claims
Paul has denied Diaz's claims and insisted that the rematch must take place in MMA. He is set to make his MMA debut in late 2024. In response to Diaz's reluctance, Paul said, "I just can't comprehend what they're trying to do or what they're saying, but this is the fight game."
Ready for the Challenge
Paul is determined to make things happen in the sport and provide transparency to his audience about the negotiation process. He stated, "I'm not being afraid to fight anyone anywhere, anytime, any place."
Upcoming Fights
While Paul has a boxing match against Andre August scheduled for December 15, his debut with the PFL is still in the pipeline. Paul plans to showcase his wrestling roots and incorporate kicks and knees into his fighting style.
It remains to be seen if Diaz will agree to the rematch in the MMA arena or if Paul will have to look for another opponent.
