JAKE PAUL has once again took aim at Tommy Fury by telling his rival he ‘can’t step back’ on pay-per-view numbers and claiming that the Brit is a nobody in America.

The two fighters are expected to exchange words on August 29 when Fury fights American Anthony Taylor on Paul’s undercard.

The YouTuber’s bout with UFC icon Tyron Woodley is the headline event in Cleveland and the YouTuber’s fourth professional boxing match.

Paul and Fury are predicted to win their respective fights and set up a huge celebrity clash in the near future.

The two fighters have been exchanging words since Paul shared a ‘screenshot’ of an alleged message from Fury’s girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague.

The alleged Instagram message from October 2018 reads: “Might be coming to America later this year and have always been a fan of your videos. Maybe you can show me around?”

Molly-Mae denied the message, tweeting: “Times must be hard when you’re having to fake a DM… Photoshop is scary.”

The British boxer, brother of heavyweight champ Tyson Fury, was not impressed with Paul dragging his girlfriend into their war of words.

Now Paul has ramped up the tension again with his latest comments.

During an interview with MMA Fighting, the 24-year-old said: “The thing I’ve made fun of Timmy for is, like, the only reason people know of you is because of your famous older brother.

“I didn’t even know you existed and you have no audience here in the US.

“We’re sort of still trying to gauge, like, do people even care about that fight? Is it a big fight? Can he actually fight? Is he really as good as they claim him to be? We’re still figuring out a lot of things.

“After I knock out Tyron, it’s back to the drawing board with the team to figure out who is the next big fight.”

Paul added: “I have to have an opponent that can draw pay-per-view numbers. I can’t take a step back because all eyes are on me.

“No-one will want to watch me fight some unknown pro boxer or pro MMA fighter. I need to sell pay-per-views and people want big, star power names.

“My career is just different. It’s such a unique situation. No fighter in the history of the sport has sold this many pay-per-views and had this much attention at 3-0.

“I’m building my career differently all while still challenging myself and trying to become the biggest prizefighter in the world.”
