JAKE PAUL will fight Tyron Woodley on BT Box Office – with online rival Tommy Fury on the undercard in America.
The YouTube sensation, who has over 20.5MILLION subscribers, faces ex-UFC champion Woodley on Sunday, August 29 in his home of Cleveland.
But in the early hours of the morning in the UK, Fury, younger brother of WBC champion Tyson, will announce himself to the US audience.
Showtime will broadcast the event Stateside with BT picking up the rights in Britain – both on their PPV platforms.
Fury faces MMA star Anthony Taylor – also a sparring partner of Paul’s – before the social media star headlines the evening with it costing £16.95.
The TV and promotional link up paves the way for a PPV fight sure to rake in millions between the celebrity pair.
Fury, 22, said: “It is a big show, and I am very happy to be on it.
“Now it is about making my own way in front of a new audience that is not the one we normally get.
“I am over there to do one job and one job only, and that is to win and look good doing it.
“I want to impress in America and get my name out there even more.
“I just see excitement around this fight, and I can’t wait to get over there and take everything in.
“From being a small boy, I used to see Tyson in his fight weeks and saw everything.
“Now it is my turn, and I’ll be over there in the limelight and it will be my fight week.
Paul, who is 3-0 all by knockout, considered Fury as an opponent for his next fight, but was unconvinced by his profile across the pond.
But a win for the 2019 Love Island star on his undercard against Taylor, 32, could perfectly set the two up to fight next.
Promoter Frank Warren said: “If they want this fight, and Tommy does the business over there, there ain’t nowhere to go.
“You can’t keep calling people out and not doing it.
“It is something that I know Tommy wants badly and we’d like to see it and I won’t step in his way, even though I have made various comments over the years about YouTubers.
“I’ve got no problem with anyone who gets fit and well to get into the ring and God bless them for doing so, but now is the time for fighters I am promoting to capitalise on this.”
Also on the bill is heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois, 23.
Dubois will defend his WBA ‘interim’ title against Joe Cusumano, 33, who is 19-3 and yet to lose by KO.
