“GOOD PROGRESS” is being made in talks for Joe Joyce to fight former world champion Joseph Parker on these shores.
The 36-year-old had been attempting to bait Anthony Joshua into a showdown – with the New Zealander also declaring his interest in a rematch with AJ.

However, now the Brit is set to put his WBO No.1 ranking on the line by facing Parker.
SJAM management’s Adam Morallee, who is an advisor to Joyce, told Sky Sports: “It’s a massive fight.
“We’re still negotiating it – it’s not finalised yet but good progress is being made.
“It’s the biggest fight outside the top four guys fighting. It’s the biggest fight on the heavyweight scene right now.

“We hope we can land it and we hope we can land in the UK for the UK fight fans to watch Joe Joyce continue his ascent to the top of the division.”
The 13-0 Joyce has recovered from a wrist injury as he prepares to return to the ring for the first time since stopping Carlos Takam.
Parker is also keen to continue his momentum after a career-best points victory over Derek Chisora last time out.
The negotiations between the two fighters comes amid an exciting period in the heavyweight division.
