JOHN FURY has blasted former WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder after the boxer stated his trilogy fight against son Tyson on October 9 will be easy.

The two heavyweights were due to clash for a third and possibly final time on July 24, but it was delayed after Tyson tested positive for Covid-19.

John and Wilder have exchanged words before back in 2018

Tyson and Wilder have been publicly going back and forth in the build-up to the trilogy fight, with Wilder suggesting it will be easy despite the first fight between the pair ending in a draw, and the second with Tyson coming away with the belt after a TKO in the seventh round.

And Tyson’s dad John has furiously responded branding Wilder ‘an idiot’ and warned that the American will be put in intensive care.

Speaking to IFL TV, he said: “What do I think about that? That man is an idiot.

“That’s a crank that is, living in cuckooland.

“Tyson will put him in the intensive care unit, and I’m telling you now, Deontay, he’s not in the devil’s playground now, he’s not getting eaten alive by all those people, making your job easier.

“He’s got me now and we’re going to put so much work in to crush you my friend, it’s going to be untrue.

“So let me tell you, stock up on toilet roll mate because you’re gonna need it, because we’re training hard, we’re training to move mountains and you’re just a bump in the road my friend.

“You’re getting it you dosser, you’re a bum, and a horrible bum at that, you’re getting it pal.

“We’re putting the work in, this brain, Tyson’s brain, when we unite we’re unbeatable.

“Especially with somebody like you, a one trick pony, with those skinny legs underneath you.

“He’s gonna hit you that hard on the chin you’ll break them two chicken legs with one shot on your chin.

“And you will never box again, guaranteed that pal, take that onboard, you better do.”

If Fury gets past Wilder and Anthony Joshua beats Oleksandr Usyk on September 25, promoter Bob Arum believes the two Brits should fight next as it’s what the fans want.

SUN BINGO WIN A SHARE OF £250k (18+ T&Cs apply)

He said: “Joshua is fighting in September, we are fighting in October. Obviously [Joshua vs Fury] will take place next year.

“My position is: if Fury and Joshua win, screw any mandatories! Fury vs Joshua is the fight that people want to see. Period. End of story.

“Both fighters owe the UK fans this tremendous event at Wembley or Cardiff, rather than taking it to a foreign country. That is an easy fight to make. It is not a hard fight to make.”
