Jose Mourinho to Leave Roma at the End of the Season, Reports Say

Poor Start for Mourinho

Jose Mourinho, the former Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham boss, is reportedly set to leave Roma at the end of the season. The 60-year-old manager has had a tough start to his third season with the Italian club, with Roma currently sitting 10th in the Serie A table after just three wins from their first eight games.

No Contract Extension

Mourinho's three-year deal with Roma is set to expire at the end of the campaign, and journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has stated that an extension "won't happen." He further added, "There are no negotiations ongoing, there have never been. So they'll part company at the end of the deal in June."

Options for Mourinho

Following his departure from Roma, Jose Mourinho will have several options for his next move. Another European club or a switch to Saudi Arabia, which was heavily rumored during the summer, are both possibilities for the experienced manager.

Conte Interested in Roma

As Roma begins the search for Mourinho's replacement, Antonio Conte has already expressed his interest in the club. Conte, who has a longstanding rivalry with Mourinho, has been out of work since being sacked by Tottenham last season. He has declined offers from Saudi Arabia as he waits for the right opportunity and has named Roma, Napoli, and even a potential return to Juventus as sides he would be keen to join.
