When asked if the fight was going ahead in December, Joshua replied: “It’s public news we’re getting it down, throwing it down in December.”

While Wilder has made around £25million from the sport, that figure is dwarfed by AJ’s reported £170million fortune.

It affords the heavyweight duo a lifestyle to envy. Here’s how they compare.

Cars

Both AJ and Deontay boast an impressive garage, although the American shades it with sheer extravagance.

The pride of his collection is an outrageous £430,000 Lamborghini Aventador he bought in 2015.

This isn’t any old Lambo. No, it’s stylishly wrapped in faux alligator-skin.

Thanks to his partnership with Jaguar Land Rover – which is rumoured to be worth £790,000 a year – AJ rolls round London in his choice of a fleet of luxury wheels, including a customised white Jaguar XJR, worth £93,000.

His favourite motor is his personalised black Range Rover, which he says “looks very professional and sets a standard”.

But AJ doesn’t boast anything as flashy as Wilder, that’s for sure.

Private jet

In 2021, Wilder was spotted flying a private jet ahead of his fight with Tyson Fury with fiancee Telli Swift.

Although, that’s not a life he is accustomed to.

“However, my view is even though I enjoy it and the door has been opened for me, I can’t forget to open the door for people who have come with me and the people who aren’t in a position to enjoy this type of luxury.

  • Defense

Punching Techniques

There are seven types: Left Hook (right hook), Right Hook (uppercut), Cross (cross), Straight, Overhand, Underhand. Each punch is different. Some punches require greater strength than others. For example, an uppercut is a powerful punch. However, a straight punch is much more powerful and faster than other punches.

There are also many combinations. These are combinations that combine punches to accomplish a particular goal. A combination may contain several parts. For example, a combination of a left and right hook will result in damage to the opponent’s jaw.

Guard Techniques

To defend himself from being attacked, a boxer uses his entire body. He does this using his legs and arms, elbows as well as hands, knees and feet.

Legs

A boxer must use his legs to defend against kicks. When he’s hit, he raises his right leg and runs away from the attacker. To avoid being kicked on the sides, he bends at his knees when the attacker strikes from the front. He will block the kick with his foot if the attack is coming from behind.

Elbows

Elbow strikes are very effective because they inflict much pain. An elbow strike may be delivered directly or in an indirect manner. Directly means you hit your opponent directly with your forearm. While indirectly, it means you hit him with another section of your arm.

Hands

Boxers use both their hands and arms to prevent incoming blows. They raise their fists high above their heads and point them in the direction of an attack. Then they make contact with the attacker’s fist.

Knees

Boxers should bend their knees when receiving blows to the abdomen, stomach, or chest. For defense purposes, knee strikes are common.

Feet

A boxer should take control of an attack and respond with counter-attacks. This allows him to put distance between himself, his opponent, and the ring. Also, boxers must maintain their balance while delivering counter-attacks.

Stances

Boxing is only possible if a boxer has a clear stance. How he defends his self will depend on how he stances. It determines his position and the direction he will face. Boxers can take many different stances. Here are some of the more popular ones:

  • Low stance
  • High stance
  • Southpaw stance
  • Western stance

Body Movement

To win a fight, a fighter must move around the opponent. This requires changing your position, speed, and rhythm.

Rotation

To increase his punching power, a boxer rotates when he throws a punch. Depending on what punch is being thrown, the speed of rotation varies.

Combinations

The timing of each punch will determine the effectiveness and efficiency of a combination. A combination of strong and weak punches will produce a good result.

Spare parts

Sparring is an exercise session to improve boxing skills. Boxers learn to train their mind and bodies during sparring sessions. Sparring, in conclusion, is about learning how to fight and not getting hurt.

Learning to box takes dedication and patience. You need to train hard and long in order to become a better boxer.
