Katie Taylor recently became a two-weight undisputed champion by avenging her previous loss to Chantelle Cameron in their rematch.
However, Taylor's victory has presented a problem with the WBO, as they only allow champions to hold titles in one division at a time.
Weight Division Decision
Taylor must now decide whether to keep her 135lb or 140lb title, as the WBO has given her a 10-day timeframe to make her decision.
This is not the first time Taylor has faced this dilemma, as she had to make a similar choice in 2019 when she won the 140lb title against Christina Linardatou.
Promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that Taylor's next fights could be a trilogy with Cameron or a rematch with Amanda Serrano.
If Taylor chooses to rematch with Serrano, she is likely to keep her 135lb title. However, if she opts for a trilogy with Cameron, she may choose to keep the 140lb version.
