KELL BROOK will be ringside to watch Chris Eubank Jr’s fight with Liam Smith – because he is “desperate” for the winner.

Brook walked away on top after stopping long-time rival Amir Khan in six rounds last February.

But the former IBF welterweight world champion has struggled to avoid the temptation of a comeback.

Brook’s intrigue will bring him to Manchester on Saturday, the scene of the crime for his retirement fight.

Promoter Ben Shalom told Sky Sports: “Kell will be there on Saturday.

“He’s desperate for the winner of that fight. He wanted the Eubank fight after the Khan fight.

“He feels he wants the winner of this fight whether that’s Liam Smith or whether that’s Eubank Jr.

“There is a rematch clause, so if Liam does win Eubank will have the option with that one.

“But there’ll be massive fights for whoever the winner is. Huge nights and Kell Brook definitely wants to be one of them.”

Brook, 36, held talks to fight Eubank after stopping rival Khan, 36, but it led to nothing.

Eubank, 33, instead moved on to a mega-fight with Conor Benn, 26, but it was dramatically scrapped just days before.

A failed drug test from Benn saw the bout scrapped with the welterweight now fighting to clear his name.

Meanwhile, it left Eubank to turn his attention to former sparring partner Smith, 34, and neither can afford a loss.

Shalom said: “Both of them want to fight again in the summer. “This a springboard to massive fights in 2023.

“But this is the one they’re both focused on. Were Chris to lose this, it really will be difficult to come back from and Liam the same.”

  • Movement of the body
  • Defense

  • Spare parts

Punching Techniques

There are seven kinds of punches: Left Hook, Right Hook, Uppercut, Cross, Straight, Overhand and Underhand. Each punch has its own technique. Some punches are more powerful than others. An uppercut, for instance, requires tremendous strength. On the other hand, a straight punch requires less power but it is faster than other punches.

There are many combinations of punches. These are combinations made up of several punches that can be used together to achieve one goal. An entire combination could have several parts. For example, a combination of a left and right hook will result in damage to the opponent’s jaw.

Guard Techniques

To defend himself from being attacked, a boxer uses his entire body. He does this by using his legs.

Legs

A boxer must use his legs to defend against kicks. After receiving a kick, he will raise his leg and move away from the attacker. If the attacker is coming from the front, he will bend at the knees to avoid getting kicked on either side. However, if the attack comes from behind, he stands up straight and blocks the kick with his foot.

Hands

Boxers use their hands to block incoming blows. Boxers raise their fists to block incoming blows and then move in the direction of the attacker’s attack. They then make contact with their attacker’s fist.

Knees

To absorb the impact of a punch to the stomach, abdomen, or chest, boxers should bend their knees. A lot of boxers use knee strikes to defend themselves.

Feet

If he is being attacked, a boxer must take a step back and counter-attack. This will help him gain distance from his opponent. Also, boxers must maintain their balance while delivering counter-attacks.

Body Movement

In order to win a fight, a boxer must move around his opponent. This means changing your speed, position and rhythm.

Rotation

A boxer will rotate his arm when he is throwing a punch. Depending on the type and size of punch, the speed at which the rotation takes place varies.

Combinations

The timing of each punch determines the effectiveness of a combination. A combination that is effective starts with a strong punch, and ends with one that is weak.

Sparring

Sparring is a training session that improves boxing skills. During sparring sessions, a boxer trains his mind as well as his body. Sparring is a way to learn how to fight without getting hurt.
