Chris Eubank Jr called to fight Kell Brook at 158lb

Eubank Jr and Brook fell out in 2016 when the son of legend Chris Sr was left fuming after his rival leapfrogged him in negotiations for a dream mega-money fight with Gennady Golovkin.

After watching the fight in Manchester on Saturday night, Eubank Jr said he would “maybe” agree to fight at 158lb but no lower.

And he tweeted: “You fought GGG at 160 so you will do the same with me if you want the biggest payday (& beating) of your career.

“If not I’ve got much bigger fish to fry anyway . . . you don’t @SpecialKBrook”

“Brook responded: “155 otherwise don’t mention my name.”

The Sheffield fighter, 35, said: “I don’t like him and that fight can happen. I will have talks with Eubank and see what happens.

“I know I am at the backend of my career but I know I can fight again once I finish enjoying this win.”

Eubank Jr, 32, said: “It’s a massive fight for British boxing. Me and Kell don’t get on, he has said before that he wants to ‘kick my head in’.

“I was not expecting Kell to be as dominant but let’s see how spicy he can get with me. His performance against Khan makes our fight incredible.”

Rising welterweight prospect Conor Benn, 25, was refused access to the ring post-fight to challenge Brook.

Brook, a former IBF world champion, suggested the two famous fighting offspring — who are yet to win major honours — fight each other first.

He grinned and said: “I’ve just beaten Amir Khan, so I’m the man. They have to get in line.”
