Joey Essex is considering a career in boxing after recently joining forces with Matchroom.
Joey Essex believes he could 'leather' KSI
Essex, 33, took part in a Matchroom 5k run in Monaco over the weekend, where he had the opportunity to mingle with boxer Conor Benn.
Confident in his skills
Expressing confidence in his abilities, Essex stated that he would "leather" someone if he were to enter the sport, with KSI being his primary target.
Speaking to IFL TV, Essex said, "If I was to do boxing, I'm doing that for me, you know what I mean? I've never done that before, but I've got it written on my bucket list that in my life I want to win some kind of gold medal, and this will be my gold medal and I'll absolutely leather someone.
"Someone told me that KSI's got a problem with me, but there's no problem here – unless he wants a problem.
"I would leather him I reckon, especially after seeing that fight the other week."
KSI's recent performance criticized
Essex was not impressed with KSI's performance against Tommy Fury and even poked fun at the YouTuber for his jumping jacks during the fight.
KSI suffered a narrow defeat against Fury, marking his first loss inside the ring.
However, KSI has previously showcased his knockout power and had won all four of his previous fights before facing Fury.
KSI seeks rematch with Fury
KSI is determined to secure a rematch with Fury, claiming that he was "robbed" by the judges in their first encounter. As a result, Essex may have to wait for his opportunity to step into the ring with the YouTuber.
