, ‘Makes a lot of sense’ – Tyson Fury against Dillian Whyte set to happen next with fight deal being negotiated

TYSON FURY will fight Dillian Whyte next – with the deal already being negotiated, according to Top Rank president Todd DuBoef.

The Gypsy King is targeting a swift return to the ring after demolishing Deontay Wilder last time out.

And a deal which will see him fight Dillian Whyte next is being negotiated, according to Top Rank president Todd DuBoef

Whyte is the WBC challenger and DuBoef says the bout ‘makes a lot of sense’.

On the potential all-British showdown, DuBoef said: “It makes a lot of sense.

“We are working hand-in-hand with Tyson for his homecoming.

“Tyson said to us: ‘I want to fight by March’.

“He really doesn’t care who he fights. We are targeting keeping him in the ring.

“We could do a fight in the UK in the first quarter of next year, and Whyte is a terrific fight.

“We want to get the date done, and get him in the ring, as quickly as possible.”

Anthony Joshua is expected to progress with his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk as he tries to regain his IBF, WBA and WBO belts.

And that will end any hope of a Fury vs Usyk unifying bout next.

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum recently said: “Why wouldn’t Fury respect Whyte?

“Heavyweights throw bombs. If he doesn’t respect him, he’ll be in a lot of trouble.

“Fury is enough of a professional, and a great fighter, and he knows that you don’t take a guy like Whyte lightly.

“We are talking to Whyte now to come to an arrangement to put the fight on in the UK.

“It will be a splendid fight and we are working hard to put it together.”

Whyte is coming off the back of his devastating knock-out win against Alexander Povetkin in March.

Fury has been in training camp and this week became the latest star to throw his support behind a charitable campaign to raise money for six-year-old West Ham fan Isla Caton.

The brave youngster has been battling neuroblastoma – the same childhood cancer inspiring Sunderland fan Bradley Lowery suffered with.

And the Gypsy King pledged signed goods and sent a video message to the little superstar.
