Mike Tyson was delighted for his fellow New Yorker

It meant 23-year-old Lopez kept his unbeaten record in 16 fights, while Lomachenko tasted defeat for the second time in his career.

And Tyson, who is making a sensational return to boxing in November at the age of 54 to fight Roy Jones Jr, was delighted for his fellow New Yorker.

He tweeted: “Brooklyn was definitely in the house tonight. Lopez is the man to beat.

“Another Brooklyn champion. #LomaLopez.”

Former heavyweight champion Tyson wasn’t the only boxing royalty to comment on the stunning victory.

Manny Pacquiao, who is supposedly set to fight UFC legend Conor McGregor in a boxing match in the Middle East, tweeted: “Congratulations to @TeofimoLopez for an undisputed great performance.”

Terence Crawford will defend his WBO welterweight title agianst Brit Kell Brook on November 14.

And both those boxers passed on their congratulations to the new undisputed lightweight king.

Irish boxing sensation Mick Conlan was impressed, as he wrote: “Just too big and strong!!

“Well deserved champ, youngest four-belt champ in history.”

American heavyweight Eddie Chambers tweeted: “I said this quote before… watch out for these Young Lions. Congrats @TeofimoLopez.”

Lopez called out American lightweight rival Devin Haney just moments after his stunning demolition of Lomachenko.

And it didn’t take long for Haney to give an answer, as he tweeted: “Lopez vs Haney 2021. Let’s do It! #AllTheBelts.”
