Mike Tyson warns Anthony Joshua ‘same thing is gonna happen’ in Usyk rematch if he doesn’t make two changes to strategy

MIKE TYSON has warned Anthony Joshua he”ll suffer “the same” fate against Oleksandr Usyk if he doesn’t pour on the pressure.

The Watford warrior will bid to reclaim the unified heavyweight titles from the slick southpaw in Saudi Arabia in a potentially career-defining rematch on August 20.

Boxing legend Mike Tyson has urged AJ to put the pressure on Usyk

AJ, 32, was gun shy in his ill-fated Tottenham tussle with the Ukrainian last September, an approach Tyson believes he can ill afford in their desert dust-up.

The former undisputed heavyweight champion said: “If Joshua doesn’t know how to put the pressure on and use his jab, the same thing is gonna happen.

“He has to use his hook and his jab.”

Joshua has teamed up with 14-time world champion coach Robert Garcia to devise a pressure-based game plan to dethrone the undefeated Usyk.

But Tyson believes it’ll take a calculated approach to get the better of the former undisputed cruiserweight king.

Iron Mike said: “Only the smartest win. That’s why that guy Usyk beat the s**t out of Joshua.

“He was smart, he was too fast, his jab was too fast.”

Joshua is confident the addition of the renowned Garcia – as well as the lessons he learned from his schooling by Usyk – will guide him to an emphatic victory in Saudi.

The former two-time unified heavyweight champion said: “Um… I could say that, but I didn’t come out victorious last time.

“But 12 rounds in the bank is good, good footage to watch, but every fight is different.

“No matter how many videos you’ve watched, how many staredowns you’ve had, no matter how many press conferences you’ve done, it’s just completely different in the ring.
