NBA star Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis, 36, to make boxing debut on undercard of Jake Paul’s next fight against WWE heavyweight

EX-NBA star Glen “Big Baby” Davis is set to make his boxing debut on the undercard of Jake Paul’s next fight.

YouTube star-turned prizefighter Paul returns to the ring on August 13 for his sixth professional bout.

And according to ESPN, his Most Valuable Promotions banner are seeking an ex-WWE heavyweight as Davis’ opponent.

The former power forward stands at 6ft 9in and weighs over 21 STONE.

He featured in the NBA for nine seasons, most recently in 2015 with the LA Clippers and started his pro career with the Boston Celtics.

Davis, 36, last played in 2019 with St John’s Edge in the Canadian league.

The American was in talks to fight 6ft 11in Larry Sanders, 33, who left the NBA five years ago.

But after the bout collapsed, Paul, 25, tweeted: “Any NFL or NHL players willing to step in the ring with Big Baby?”

Paul in November 2020 knocked out retired basketball player Nate Robinson, 37, in his second fight.

He has since beaten UFC pair Ben Askren, 37, and Tyron Woodley, 40, twice, firstly on points and then by knockout.

Paul’s brother Logan, 27, in June boxed Floyd Mayweather, 45, in an exhibition in Miami.

On the undercard, NFL legend Frank Gore, 39, lost to basketballer Deron Williams, 37, on points in four rounds.

Gore has since made his professional debut and knocked out Olaseyinde Olorunsola, 29, in May.
