TYSON FURY is ‘getting a bit of his own medicine’ with Dillian Whyte ‘not playing ball’ as they build up to their fight.
Whyte has been almost radio silent since the confirmation of his first ever world title shot.
The WBC mandatory challenger failed to turn up to the ticket launch press conference and has refused to post anything on social media.
It has infuriated promoter Frank Warren and given Fury all sorts of problems – retired cruiserweight Johnny Nelson said.
Nelson, 55, told Pro Boxing Fans: “Dillian Whyte is doing a Tyson Fury on Tyson Fury. He’s not playing ball. He’s doing it at his pace, his rules.
“So, Tyson Fury must understand what’s happening there. This isn’t Dillian’s problem, this isn’t Tyson’s problem. This is the promoter’s problem.

“The fight will go on, the guys will fight. Dillian Whyte is giving Tyson a bit of his own medicine. Remember Tyson doing antics like this? No.
“Obviously, not saying stuff, but doing antics like this when he boxed [Wladimir] Klitschko.
“The idea is to upset the applecart on the other side. So, Dillian Whyte is doing the right thing.”
The 33-year-old rivals are due to settle their score on April 23 with at least 85,000 fans in attendance.

Ex-world champion Tony Bellew echoed Nelson’s words and praised Whyte for staying hush.
Bellew, 39, said on iFL TV: “I think the silence from him is brilliant, I think it’s a masterstroke.
“Because all the questions, all the problems and questions are being thrown to Tyson Fury. It’s not fault.”
