The Bitter Feud Continues
Former boxing world champion Paulie Malignaggi has once again attacked his bitter sparring rival Conor McGregor. Malignaggi entered McGregor's training camp in 2017 before his fight with Floyd Mayweather. The two sparred twice, with the second spar becoming infamous due to leaked images and footage. Malignaggi claims McGregor was wise not to accept a grudge match with him, as he believes he would have destroyed him both in the press conferences and in the ring.
A Disputed Knockdown
The feud between Malignaggi and McGregor started when Malignaggi was knocked down during their sparring session. Malignaggi insists he was pushed down by McGregor, but the incident caused him to storm out of the camp. The two have been at odds ever since, but a boxing bout between them never materialized.
Malignaggi Calls McGregor a "Punching Bag"
Malignaggi, now 43, has criticized McGregor's career, comparing him to heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua. He claims McGregor is now a "punching bag" and accuses him of being a quitter. Malignaggi believes McGregor's success was due to marketing and that he lacks the guts and willingness to succeed as a true fighter. He predicts that McGregor will continue to be a punching bag in the future.
