‘Powerful’ underdog Dillian Whyte tipped to shock Tyson Fury as Frank Bruno calls him ‘more awkward’ than Anthony Joshua

FRANK BRUNO has warned Tyson Fury that his fight with Dillian Whyte will be  “more awkward” than taking on Anthony Joshua.

And British boxing legend Bruno believes underdog Whyte could pull off a huge shock and dethrone the undefeated Gypsy King on Saturday.

Tyson Fury could be in for a tricky night against Dillian Whyte, according to Frank Bruno

Frank Bruno has tipped underdog Dillian Whyte to spring a surprise against Tyson Fury

Bruno, 60, declared: “It could go either way.

“Fury would have gone out and challenged everyone from my day because he doesn’t care, he seems fearless.

FURY VS WHYTE

All of the latest from HUGE Wembley showdown plus how to watch

“You’ve got to give Whyte credit because they wanted to get him out the way for a Fury-Joshua fight.

“But it’s going to be more awkward for Tyson than facing Joshua because Dillian is up for the fight and can punch with both hands.

“Fury has a lot more experience but if he doesn’t keep his head down to avoid the Whyte bombs, then he could be in danger.”

WBC champ Fury, 33, has dubbed his Wembley world heavyweight title clash with Whyte, 34, the biggest British bout since Bruno was defeated by Lennox Lewis 29 years ago.

Fans want to see a Fury-Joshua clash but AJ is awaiting a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk after losing his WBA, IBF and WBO belts to the Ukrainian in September.

Bruno, who won 40 of his 45 pro fights between 1982 and 1996, expects a Fury-Joshua superfight to happen.

The former WBC king added: “Eventually, if the money is there to be made, Fury and Joshua will definitely get it on.”

Bruno, who was diagnosed as bipolar following retirement, praised Fury’s resilience in overcoming his own mental health issues.
