Jones Jr finished his career with a boxing record of 66-9.

His record as an amateur was also impressive as he racked up 121 wins with just 13 losses.

Jones Jr won a silver medal at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, but his loss is regarded as one of the worst robberies in amateur boxing history.

The judges’ decision to award the victory to Park Si-Hun, the home fighter, was even investigated by the IOC, who controversially saw no wrongdoing.

Jones Jr was born on January 16, 1969, making him 51 years old.

The boxing icon was born in Pensacola, Floria, where he currently resides with his wife and three sons.

Jones Jr only retired at 49, however, in 2018 after a win over Scott Sigmon after a 29-year professional career.

‘Captain Hook’, as he’s known, is just 5ft 11inches, despite his ability to move up the weights, winning numerous world titles.

Jones Jr won numerous world titles in FOUR different weight classes, starting at middleweight.

Jones beat Bernard Hopkins to win his first title at 160lbs in 1993.

He then went on to beat James Toney for the IBF super-middleweight world title a year later.

Jones stepped up yet again when he knocked Montell Griffin out in one round to win the WBC light heavyweight world title.

Jones unified the light-heavyweight division on multiple occasions before finally making the move to heavyweight, skipping cruiserweight altogether.

In 2003, Jones beat John Ruiz by unanimous decision to become the WBA heavyweight world champion.

Jones Jr holds the record for most wins in unified title bouts with 12.

Thought Jones Jr was a legend, he suffered some devastating losses throughout his career.

His first defeat came against Montell Griffin, after he hit the American after knocking him down.

After that, Jones Jr was brutally knocked out by Antonio Tarver after coming down from heavyweight to fight at light-heavyweight again.

Further losses against Tarver again, Glen Johnson and Joe Calzaghe followed.

Jones Jr was then knocked out by Danny Green, before suffering losses to Bernard Hopkins and Dennis Lebedev.

His final loss came against British fighter Enzo Maccarinelli, who knocked Jones Jr out in the fourth round of their clash in 2015.
