Sky Sports BLOCKED from Derek Chisora’s dressing room as coaches go through secret tactics to tackle Oleksandr Usyk

DEREK CHISORA’S team acted swiftly to BLOCK the in-dressing room camera as they went through fight tactics.

The Brit was just minutes away from his mouthwatering clash against Oleksandr Usyk when Sky Sports Box Office went to their cameras.

Derek Chisora is a huge underdog when he fights Oleksandr Usyk

One of his trainers was talking about boxing movement with Chisora, who was seated on an exercise bike.

Realising that what was being discussed was going live, another member of the team quickly moved towards the camera and pointed the lens to the floor.

There was then some searching around for a towel to make sure no secrets got out.

Just minutes later his rival Usyk decided to use TAPE to cover up his camera – maybe Sky Sports will be reviewing these live cameras for next time.

Chisora is the huge underdog against Usyk, despite the 36-year-old being the seasoned heavyweight.

Usyk has stepped up to the big boys’ division after unifying at cruiserweight, and is the mandatory challenger for Anthony Joshua‘s WBO belt.

But Chisora’s trainer, former cruiserweight and heavyweight world champ David Haye hopes his man can take that mandatory spot by beating the Ukrainian.

Speaking to iFL TV, Haye explained: “I’ll find out this week. I’ve written a letter to Paco [Valcarcel], the president of the WBO, stating that Derek should be, by beating the mandatory [Usyk], he should become mandatory himself.

Derek Chisora is determined to leave no stone unturned as he gets set for his big fight

“There’s only so many times he can go to the well. If there’s ever a chance for him to get a world title shot, it’s off the back of this victory.

“We believe common sense will prevail and that the WBO, a great organization that Derek has worked closely with for many years, this is his opportunity.

“This is something on the sidelines.”

Joshua has his own business to take care of when he defends his WBO, WBA and IBF world titles against Kubrat Pulev on December 12 in London.

And of course there are the two fights against WBC king Tyson Fury in 2021 that the pair ‘agreed’ at the start of coronavirus lockdown.

And the 31-year-old Watford boxer believes his old pal Chisora could shock Usyk.

He told Sky Sports: “I’ve sparred Derek since I was 18. A strong man.

“If he does land? Look at Derek’s knockouts – they aren’t when he lands five shots then the ref jumps in.

“Boom! Artur Szpilka. Boom! Carlos Takam.

“He hit them with one shot and knocked them out. You can see he carries one-shot knockout power.”
